Get off the computer and get yourself on over to the noodle house! I love it, especially the oxtail pho, which is served in a huge bowl with a side of sawgrass, Thai basil, bean sprouts, and lemon wedges. We ended up eating there three times when we vacationed in Kailua last year. When we returned this year, it's the first place we went.
The Vietnamese owner remembered us, too! This man is a chef who takes pride in his art; . We have always received prompt courteous service, even when it's busy. The portions are generous, and I can never finish my soup, though I love it so...
This restaurant also has a unique selection of flavored tapioca pudding, like coconut, sweet potato, and taro (with chunks of real taro!). My husband and I ate an appetizer, dinner, and dessert for about $25 and left stuffed.
Pros: Best pho, fast service, authentic, cheap
Cons: Can't take this restaurant back to Alaska with me
