A month ago I started having problems with my 2004 lincoln ls , it was not shifting gears on its own and it was loosing coolant (i didnt know where ). I pulled into a Lincoln dealership and the next day they told me i needed a new transmission and needed a head gasket replaced and it was going to cost about and upto 3500 dollars for both items. i about fainted. i towed the car home and was refered to Specialty Automotive by my neighbor and spoke to Trent Palmer who is the owner. He told me he does not charge check out unless i decline repairs . He gave a cheaper tow truck driver number and had it towed there. The next day he called me and said i needed a transmission solenoid pack and a heater hose clamp replaced and the price was going to be about 800 dollars and 575 dollars of that was the solenoid itself . Come to find out i didnt need a head gasket because the hose was leaking onto the head and running off and i didnt need a transmission because an electrical part of the solenoid went out .I could not believe it . I was forever sold on this place from that moment on . They were more interested in finding out what the real problem was and fixing my car than just trying to take advantage of an old man .How easy they could have just sold me the work that the dealership suggested .My car would have been fixed either way but not spending the extra 2500 really came in handy and my car is flawless !! THANKS TO SPECIALTY AUTOMOTIVE !!!!! You really are SPECIAL in my book ..
Pros: Very fair and honest , does not charge to look at vehicles
Cons: does not advertise, wish i knew of them sooner
