I had a toilet that overflowed and damaged carpeting in the hallway. I called them to come out and they charged me $900 to pull back the carpeting, cut away the ruined pad, put three fans on it to blow it dry for three days. I thought that was rather steep, and they came down to $800 when I declined to have them replace the pad. I paid them, and now three months later they are claiming that I didn't pay. Fortunately I can prove that I did with my cancelled check.
