I attended the Cinequest 2010 opening night screening yesterday and it was such an amazing event. It was my first time at the California Theatre. I did not even know such a beautiful threater exists in San Jose.
I am glad to have found out about this film festival. The opening film was The Good Heart. I love the lighthearted humors. It was touching in a quirky way. Paul Dano was such a convincing actor.
The crowd at the E&O after party were an educated bunch - mostly people in the film industry or advert film lovers. It was a nice change from the normal party scene. The restaurant was very crowded though. The staff at the restaurant had done a great job to accommodate everyone. (By the way, the Corn Fritters at E&O were awesome as usual.)
I will be back in a couple days for my indie movie fix!
