Long known for being the best pizza in town, Lombardi's has had a great run. While the location is perfect in SoHo, the place has seen better days. We worked up an appetite after being led through 3 rooms only to be seated at a table that resembled all the other empty ones we passed. We had house wine and sausage pizza which were both not very memorable. The scene wasn't very exciting as each table had at least one person on their blackberry, clearly not so taken with their meal. And of course, as typical NY'ers we were bummed about the no credit card rule.Overall a disappointing night- hoping the recipe gets better as it has such potential.
Pros: location, sinatra music
Cons: only accept cash
