Horrible barn 2/26/2010

This barn is not well kept its dirty the horses are old and cheap. You cant jump any higher than 2'6 unless you buy a horse that can because her horses are'nt capable of it. If you ever meet the trainers you will rarley get a smile or a hello. They make you work out there for hours with no pay and they say you work for respect! Trust me they lie. I would not recomend this barn to anyone its a bad environment for kids and teens. The padocks besides the 2 grass ones which one of the grass padocks is a crick.. anyways all of them are super muddy and bad conditions for horses with shoes. The instructor holds you back from what you are capabile of and lessons are a yelling mess. I believe she needs to encourage riders more rather than telling them that it sucks or its not good enough. Horse shows are not fun anymore. The trainer does alot of unnecessary tedious billing. It's not a loving place thats for sure. If you miss a lesson or have to reschedule she will make you feel quilty and bad every single time. Their pictures on their website don't show even half of the barn. Its digusting. They don't use the out door ring very much because of too big of rocks witch caused many horses to be lame. All of the kids spent hours and days working trying to get all of the rocks out and we got no money or thanks. It is still not being used because rocks keep resurfacing. Its not a fun summer place. They make you do hay which is about eleven to thirteen wagons of hay with about 200 bails of hay that way roughly 40 to 70 pounds. They make you put all of the hay away in the hay loft to earn ""respect"". At Blue Spring Farm, don't get surprised when you get caught up in kid drama much less imature adult drama. There is always something that is being said behind your back. Its not a place to go. I was there for six years also and it was a living hell. We didn't leave because it was very close to our house and other barns where an hour away but we finally decided to leave because we couldnt take it anymore. The trainer makes it seem like anyother barn is really bad and that it's a horrible place, but she only says that to make you think that this barn is the best, well let me tell you...it's not. You never no what your really missing out on or how bad you have had it until you actually look around for somthing new. I have had two horses at this barn. I bought a horse off the track that went insane at this barn and surprising didnt change after a year. The trainer said he had to be on all of these suppliments and was put on special EXPENSIVE shoes because he would be lame without them... yea well when i switched barns he has had no supplements and has had normal shoes on and hasnt been lame ever since... that tells you something. They fed him beet pulp at bsf and he coliched about 5 times and im sure they have no idea because they wernt careful enough. Turns out when you soak beet pulp you have to let it sit for a while to expand but they didnt take the time so they gave it to him too early and it expnaded in his stomach....not surprising that she blamed it on me. I just wish i left sooner just like most of her high paying horse show customers, like me, did a while ago. But instead of getting my word and everyone elses on this website talk to all of the local ""B"" circurt horse show trainers around the area and you will find out how Blue Spring Farm is really run. Ha and thats funny on how you kicked but in TWO horse shows this whole year.... the only person who is a good rider and has a good horse is lindsey so i wish her the best of luck this year. Since i have switched to my new barn Seoul Creek Farm, my horse has taken champion in every show i have taken him to..shows alot different he was last year huh? Who cares how many ribbons you get at a show..it matters the places but the person who bassicly one all those ribbons was you know who so dont take the credit ""roullettesluckyspin""..and if i member correctly you cried that week at the show soo ok? Cons: Its not a nice loving environment more
