I don't know anything about what the experience was that caused the first reviewer to give Lucky Dog such a low rating, but I have a feeling it has more to do with the owner than with the staff itself. Some people just don't want their animals to be treated as if they are babies, and not the canines that they are. I love the fact that there are boundaries of behavior here, and that the dogs are expected to behave within those boundaries. My 5 mos. old pup loves going there, and she is learning a lot of good lessons about socialization, canine body language, and interracting with her species. She is even learning the valuable lesson that she is not the only dog that matters, unlike at home where she has no competition at all from any other dogs. I think it is a good place, and the people really care about the animals. Yes, they care about the owners too, but really it is all about the dogs there; as it should be. If their owners don't want to play by the rules, then the dog suffers by not being able to attend 'school' anymore. So don't blame the school for your own issues.
Pros: Attentive staff, clean surroundings, structured environment
Cons: Don't see any so far!
