Decided to go to the White Horse after reading an article on their 160th anniversary. Never been there before, but heard good things. We were warmly greeted on an extremely busy night without a reservation. The hostess quoted a 45 minute wait, but sat us in 35 minutes. She recommended the calamari as an appetizer when she discovered we had not been there before. Our server also took the time to review the menu and supported the calamari appetizer that was suggested. They were both right! It was the best we have ever had. Our entire meal followed the same pattern. Everything was delicious. What was most impressive is how the word that we were there for the first time traveled to the owner. He came by our table to see how our ""first experience"" was and welcomed us. IMPRESSIVE!
