I had came upon this restaurant a few times while looking for a great place to eat outside of the downtown Portland area. We live in the Pearl but prefer to find fine dining outside the downtown area. Took my girlfriend to Lorio for Valentines Day since it was rated with high marks. They had a great deal for dinner so I was able to walk away spending just over a $100. We had to wait about five minutes to be greeted behind a curtain as you enter so nobody would ever know you were standing there unless you peeked around the curtain. There was some confusion on where to seat us so the lady was shuffling names around as we both waited patiently. The atmosphere is pretty cool so I can see how it was rated one of the "most romantic restaurants" in Portland. The food was delicious and the drinks were pretty tasty. I am not a demanding customer and all I really expect is to be check on once in awhile as well as keep my beverage filled. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. Our waiter checked on us only one time but made sure his other tables were happy. We waited 15 minutes after we had finished dinner for him to clear our table and bring desert. Both of us made eye contact but apparently he didn't see the signal. Again, most of his time was talking to other customers or standing at the bar.
Pros: Food is well prepared and taste great!
Cons: Don't expect great service
