I gave birth at this hospital in March 2009. I came in for a scheduled c-section. I had to come to Brandon because my doctor's office was associated with them. Can't say much for that place or the doctor that performed the operation...not my favorite people.
The people in triage were very nice and kept me relaxed. I remember the anesthesiologist being a very nice lady who kept me calm since I was pretty freaked out (my first kind of surgery ever).
After my baby arrived, I had a very sweet nurse the majority of the time named Chandra. She was awesome! I did have one that was not so pleasant but she was also waking me up in the middle of the night with a crying baby so that could've been part of it. I had trouble breast feeding and had a few women try and help me nurse.
My baby ended up on a bottle because she was dehydrated. I kind of wish I hadn't have done that because she would not even try to nurse after that but it was kind of required!
The food there was pretty good for hospital food. They let you order whatever you want off the menu and it's a pretty good selection.
The security here for the maternity ward is pretty top notch. They are very careful who they let up and require IDs and badges for different areas.
I was kind of surprised to see such bad reviews on here but I also only dealt with one section of the hospital. If I were to have another child, I would not hesitate about going here.
