When I first walked in Kathy greeted me behind the counter. I told her I was interested in a GLOCK and I wanted my first hand gun with lots of safety features and fit me right. She recommended me against a GLOCK and showed me a SPRINGFIELD. I purchased the gun without much hesitation and research and a lot of trust. I went home and did much more research and sure enough she was spot on and understood my needs. The one thing you will find is that conversations often seem terse, abrupt and sometimes a little uncomfortable. Once you break the ICE with both of them they will even crack a smile and tell a joke or two. The idea I think is they treat a gun purchase as a responsible thing and they want to make sure you have a good sensibility about you and you’re paying attention. If you treat them with respect it will be returned to you and I think that’s fair. My second time in there I was greeted warmly and I spoke with Larry. I tend to have a pretty good sense of humor and he is turning into my pet project as he will come across as overly serious and deadly straight to the point. I was able to get him to crack half a smile and a chuckle after about ½ hour but it takes work?. These people are genuinely good people; they have good prices and are very honest and do care about you. Go in there with a humble attitude willing to learn and you will develop a great relationship with a great gun shop. I will continue to shop there over and over again.
