I am not a name dropper or talk bad about businesses but feel I should pass along my experience with this local AC company called Agees.
My AC heating and cooling went out yesterday so we called Ageess to repair it since they originally installed in July 2006. They told me my evaporator coil was only covered under manufactured warranty until Jun 2011 and that I was not covered for labor. I was given an estimate today of $ 1135.00 to replace coil and refill Freon. My husband and I thought it was very odd that we did not have or purchase extended warranty on such a big purchase (original cost was $7K+). Obviously the sales person did not explain labor warranty or coverage because its not like us. After they left and I told them Id call them after I shopped around, I pulled out my purchase packet from 2006 (thank God I keep those things) and noticed on 3 invoices it list I have a 10 year warranty on ALL parts AND labor! This comes with what I purchased, not an extended plan.
I was almost out $1135.00 if it was not for me doing research. They would of gladly taken my money at the worst time ever. Christmas!
To make this long story a little shorter because Ill leave out the phone conversation my husband had with them, where he strongly expressed his disbelief of how a reputable and big company could make such and error. They said they would honor our 10 yr warranty, as if they were doing us a favor! They did not offer to do anything else extra for us for such a tremendous error. I wonder how many other people's money they took because of the same error.
After they replace my Coil and do the work properly, I will be making a report at the better business bureau and any where else my fellow co-workers and friends can recommend I take this. I get asked at least twice a month if I know of a good AC company or a plumber, and you better believe this is one company I will not recommend!
MY Christmas is saved!!....no thanks to Agees!

Once we checked our hard copies of your records and found that we did include a 10 year parts and labor warranty with your new system, we replaced the evaporator coil with no costs to you. In our attempt to ensure that we do not make this mistake ever again, we have tasked our sales manager with reviewing all sales records to verify that our computer records are accurate.
