Although the owner is typically nice and accommodating the stock is absolutely disgraceful. I only started going here, because my mother is a fan of this type of store, so I started buying her gifts here. The first bad experience I had was about 6 months ago. I bought a dragon and light-up ball statue for my mother. Fortunately, before I wrapped it, I tried it out - of course it didn't light up, and when we went to replace the batteries (which the owner said would be necessary), we realized the battery station was completely corroded out. once I returned it, I had to deal with a bit of rudeness from the owner saying things like ""well it's not even that old so it can't be that bad,"" and ""I see that it does light. Some are just a lot dimmer than others."" Nevertheless, I still chose to replace with one of a different color - that one actually lit up, but the battery terminal was still a little corroded, which proves that she's either buying really cheap stock, or really old stock trying to make a huge profit considering it cost over $30. Now, just this weekend, I went back (against mine and my boyfriend's better judgment) to try and find a christmas gift for my mother. As soon as we walked in, we realized that she was still trying to sell the statue we had bought 6 months ago that didn't work for the exact same price - another red flag! But the third and final flag didn't come until this very moment as my mother was opening the gift I decided to buy from there - a wizard statue surrounded by dragons and fire (description provided so you don't buy broken products). I was extremely horrified and embarrassed when I realized as my mother put it on her mantel, that something was missing. Mind you, the owner took it off the shelf and put it right into a box with bubble wrap so it was probably broken a while, and I just never realized. But regardless, I thought the wizard was initially missing a lock of hair, but then as I looked at it closer, I realized it was his whole right arm. I found the arm wedged extremely tightly between the flames. If that was bad enough, his index and ring finger was missing, so it looks like the wizard is giving a big F-YOU to my mother on christmas! Purely pathetic!!! more
