First of all a mistake was made by the receptionist staff upon charging an ER visit when it was actually an appointment visit charge.I kindly let her know there was an emergency charge posted on the invoice instead of an appointment charge even though she responded she will take care of the correction, I felt an underline disgruntle demeanor from her. Well then the cat was being seen for an Bladder Infection and UTI and a basic physical. After the visit was completed the original quote doubled in cost for the procedure that was done. Tests were done without disclosing the cost for them over the phone or with the visit with the Vet doctor at the time of discussing procedure with owner of the cat.At the time of finalizing the vet visit it was at the time for paying the bill the undisclosed amount appeared. The owner of clinic (Manager) co-insided with There were two people in on visit and witnessed to this fact that the test procedure cost was not revealed at the time of visit. The owner of the cat conceded and said it may have been mentioned just to get done with the visit. The third person was in on the visit and did not hear any mention of the cost of the test procedure during the visit. The owner of the cat just said maybe they said it just to get the visit over with and she paid their unreasonable high cost. She only said this because she was tired of the 6 hour visit to the vet.The cat was too sick to deal with waiting to take her elsewhere and it was to late because the undisclosed cost of the test procedure was already done. Price was quoted at half of the amount less at original appointment consultation before bringing cat in for the visit. All I can say I will not ever under any emergency bring in any pet to this VCA due to the fact they are 100 percent for profit only. I was not particularly happy with the 6 hours it took for them to address the complete visit to them for just a simple check. The VCA did not hardly have any customers in it. This is the most horrible vet visit I have ever had to bring an pet. Also at time of original conversation VCA told owner the cat will be released with medications on the same visit. Since the visit was quoted at half of the amount. This was the amount owner brought in. Owner had to go back to the bank and get rest of the money. With this said VCA was going to originally set up a promissary note and allow her to come in on Monday. However the VCA refused to let her have the extremely neccessary medication without paying for the visit in full. What is the sense of signing a prommissary note and having already paid for half of th total cost and saying the medications needed cannot be released for medication dispensng for the sick cat unless the total bill is paid.
