I had five double pane windows installed a few weeks ago. When we had quite a bit of rain afterwards so I checked to see if there was a problem but all was dry. The windows that I replaced face south and west and I’ve noticed my furnace does not come on as often and the house is more secure. I am sure that my energy bills will be lower next summer since these windows get most of the sun, too.
Where I live I always heard faint but steady traffic noises and it was stronger at night when I tried to sleep. Now I do not hear anything it is so nice and quiet. This also goes for the neighborhood noises I would hear especially in the evenings. They are hardly noticeable now!
