The dentist office billing is either terrible or designed to cheat you out of money. They over billed by $300 for a crown and did not correct the mistake until the I brought the insurance company statement in and had a chat a couple weeks later. This over billing has happened 3 times. If you have a non-profitable insurance co plan they charge a $20 fee to clean dental instruments and latex gloves etc. For the kids appointment the refused to do the yearly check up x-rays after giving me the choice and after I requested them. I also had to have a root canal done after a filling was not done made deep enough/correctly causing extra cost not picked up by the office. We are switching dentists. If you like the place make sure you check your billing. They also have a different price list for each insurance co you have and a different price list if you have no insurance so be very careful. I've never had so many $$ discussions and refunds.
