If the food wasn't as tasty as it is, I would have only given this place 1 star. The menu is very large, full of endless breakfast, lunch and dinner possibilities and the food is usually very good here. The coffee however is bitter and not drinkable - EVER!\r

The problem however lies in how this place is run and everytime you go in the tables are filthy! And they will not accomodate you no matter what. Everything you ask them comes complete with a dirty look and a ""NO!"" as an answer. Every single time I have to ask the waiter or waitress is they will please wipe down the dirty table for me. Last visit a couple of weeks ago the first booth they attempted to seat me at had hashbrows and filth all over the booth seat then after I cleared that off myself what do I find a whole set of clearly used spoon, knife and fork smack in the middle of the table, syrup spilled on the table and hashbrowns. So I took it upon myself to move across the way and what do I find at this booth - more dirty food and syrup spilled on the table. \r

They appear to not want to hire anyone over the age of 20 and the place is falling apart because of it. The manager does not even look 21 and cannot get control of her staff. On one visit there was a pregnant young waitress working (more like slacking) and another worker had lifted up her shirt as was rubbing her baby bump and it was just so unsanitary. A couple of young guys who were about 18 (busboy and a server I am guessing) were chasing each other in front of the baby bump rubbing spectacle. At this point I had been seated and simply asked for a glass of water which the waitress spaced out and never brought. How on earth do you space out a glass of water? I placed my order - crepes and hashbrowns and had one request - ONE - please do not make the hashbrowns crisp - make them ""light"" as they instructed me to ask for. Well, she brings back crepes which were nice, but the hashbrowns were burnt to a crisp after just asking them not to do that. What ticks me off even more is that I overheard the cook telling the Waitress - ""Well, see if they will eat them like that first."" That angered me. The waitress tried to scurry away with her head down, but I asked her to please have them recook them properly. They did redo them but by the time I got them - I had eaten most of the delicious nutella crepes.\r

As the other reviewer mentioned - the waitresses do have a very bad, unprofessional attitude. The immature dirty looks when you ask them to clean the table, or to change to a different table gets very tiring. If it was not for the fact that usually the food is quiet good - I would not go back. I feel like I deal with the annoyances and attitudes because the food quality is good and it is one of the few coffeehouses close to my home.\r

If Ihop could work on getting together a decent staff I think they could make this place work. Their current hiring practice of only hiring what appear to be 18-23 year olds needs to come to a halt. Years ago, there were quite a few thirty, forty and even a fifty something person employed there and things went much more smoothly. The cleanliness of this place is a very serious issue and needs to be dealt with vigilantly. Employee retraining needs to occur. Safety issues such as the two male employees chasing each other in the front lobby area need to be addressed by the manager. Customer requests need to stop being met with dirty looks and bad attitudes and Ihop needs to return to getting what the customer asks for in a timely manner. Simple requests such as a glass of water are not too much to ask for. I hope Corporate or someone over the age of 25 at Ihop will read this and address these concerns as they are constant and I am certain most do not return after encountering all of this. I would be glad if Ihop would listen to their customers and turn all of this around into a positive.
