First time parents who pulled our daughter from A New Generation after 3 months. I can not speak to any of the rooms other than the infant room and we believe that many of the issues we encountered were when other (not the main staff) staff were filling in or covering during breaks. We really got the sense that some of the younger staff members just needed a job and that they would be better off not caring for children. * My husband dropped in to visit our daughter to find another baby asleep on the floor, each child has a crib, there is no reason for a child to be asleep on the floor. * The door to the room clearly asks visitors to remove their shoes when they come in the room (babies on a dirty floor is just disgusting) and we frequently saw staff members wearing their shoes in the room * Staff regularly did not wear gloves or wash hands after changing diapers * We witnessed staff members wiping babies noses with their hands. * The straw that broke the camels back for us was when our 6 month old daughter ended up in the hospital from dehydration. I know that the daycare did not cause the illness that caused the dehydration but when she only drank 9oz during a 10hr time frame it would have been nice to get a phone call (which we did not). Not to mention the lack of cleanliness made us wonder if she would have gotten sick if she had not been at that daycare. more
