I had ADT security for my rental property. The tenants got a bill for tripping the alarm, so they tampered the system, cut the wires and masked the sensors. ADT didn't inform us about this and kept billing us each month. After the tenant moved out, we found out about this and called ADT. They said if the wire were cut then they will not receive any signal and so they cannot protect the property and it is our responsibility to make sure that they are receiving signals. I asked them what if an intruder had tampered with the wire, I am paying for security, if they cannot protect me then it defeats the purpose. They had no answer and kept transferring me to different department and kept dropping the calls, Finally, a supervisor came and listen to the situation and said he will get back to me. Nothing till today, that is several weeks ago. So if you need protection for your family stay away from ADT. I have taken my business to Protect America, they have no installation fee, wireless updated system and cheaper than ADT. On top of all this, you can talk to a live person and get the name and direct number of your representative. more
