I'm not sure what all the excitement is about regarding La Carta De Oaxaca. I have now been several times and find myself rather unimpressed. The environment is at best homogenized and boring kinda like Starbucks. The restaurant is sooo loud! The service is ok. The staff gets the food out quick and are generally prompt considering how busy the place is. I just think there is more to a good restaurant experience than prompt service. I want to be engaged, and I want my servers to have a personality. I want to feel like I am getting more than just food. I just think La Carta feels like a fast food restaurant. With a seriously boring and overpriced menu. There are far too many great restaurants in the area for me to get excited about this place.
