I rented a studio at 2638 Poplar from Alan and JMH for three years. During that time I can honestly say my overall renting experience was positive. There were some minor problems when I first moved in but they were quickly taken care of once I addressed them. Any time there was a leak, bug or other renting issue they had someone sent out the very next day. When I moved out and received the charges against my security deposit for move out clean-up I reached out to Alan because I didn't agree with the charges. Alan IMMEDIATELY looked into the issues, contacted me directly and refunded the money, no questions asked. If I ever need to rent again I would ABSOLUTELY rent from JMH again.
To address the negative posts by several others:
1. If your experience was so horrible, why did you continue to rent from JMH for 3, 6, plus years?
2. Pay your rent on time. You signed a contract stating that you would pay on time. If you don't pay on time, it should come as no surprise that you will be a charged a late fee. It's called RESPONSIBILITY.
3. I am in no way saying that JMH is perfect, but I think they do a pretty good job.
