If you like feeling at home, being treated with care by nice people and eating good, solid fare I'd recommend trying out Wedgewood Farms Family Restaurant.
When I was visiting Saturday, the place was mobbed by people eagerly enjoying breakfast. Clearly it is a much loved local hangout.
I found the food to be good -- their French Toast Special was nice -- and the staff to be friendly. They seem to be local folks, many of them family. The adult servers were attentive, the teens from the area who help bus tables are friendly also.
Eating at Wedgewood makes one feel a part of the community.
