I just got through reading reviews before I wrote mine and I was perplexed by the variance of service reviews. The only conclusion I could come up with is that there are people who are wound to tight and then their are people who are gracious and understand that they are not the only people on the planet. With that being said, I had the best experience with these people and always get good service from them.
My brand new LG French Door Bottom Freezer went out the month after purchasing from Best Buy. I had just purchased about $250.00 worth of food for a holiday bar-b-que and the refrigerator went out. I was on the phone with LG customer service trying to understand them and their I'm just here for the money attitude which by the way comes with no comprehension of the english language. LG CS wanted me to unplug the unit for 48 hours and then plug it back in and hope for the best and then wait until they could get someone out to service it which may have taken a week or more!!! Now think about this. Dish washer, you can hand wash; washer/dryer, you can take to laundromat; stove, take out or microwave; refrigerator.....well you get the picture.
So I call Austec while LG is on the phone with me and am talking to both women at the same time. Austec (I wish I could remember her name) listened and was truly compassionate about my situation (unlike LG CS) said she was sorry that it would be a few days before they could get to my house which included a weekend. I got of the phone with them both and was furious because of all the political reasons I get upset with talking to people in a foreign country that has no concept of why we Americans get so upset over a non working appliance. BECAUSE....we work really hard for our money only to spend it on something really cheap and made in China to pay China back for all the money we have borrowed to get our butts out of a jam all the while telling the American people not to spend what they don't have. (oh crap!! off message) Anyway I was fuming and then the phone rings. Austec said they could be at my house that day!!! I was ecstatic. By the time we got off the phone Austec took my really bad day and my rage and turned it into laughter by the end of the conversation. They were able to squeeze me into their already full plate that day and I live in Buchanan Dam!! Now that is what customer service use to be. Brandon came out looked and saw the problem, ordered the part, came back out put the part on. The whole repair time was maybe 1 hour!! Kindness and understanding goes a really long way that's why I will always call on Austec. Five Star ***** in my contacts.
