So frustrated! Just signed up with ADT two months ago...a week ago we arrived home to find the police showing up a half hour later. There was a problem with our home security system and police were dispatched - when we called ADT they said they tried several times to call us. We did not have any calls from ADT. After speaking to several managers, they confessed that they called but it went straight to voicemail since the alarm triggered phone to be off. Their policy is not to leave a message but if they know that the alarm will disarm phone, this policy sucks! Today i forgot the alarm was on and opened door by mistake. I went to disarm the alarm but no call from ADT. Spoke to them and they said that since we disarmed the alarm within 120 seconds, there was no need. I responded what if there was a burglar with a knife to my neck? We told them that this policy didn't work and they replied that we are stuck until 2012. So let me get this straight...they do not provide service they are supposed to and i have no way of getting out of contract?
