I live in St. Louis and have always made it a point to have George's everytime I come back to Kansas City. Some friends of ours introduced me to the restaurant & I thought it was great food. With that being said, I will NEVER go back in there after the way the owner treated my friend this past week. She had ordered pizzas in advance for her daughter's 2nd birthday- and paid for them in advance. Somehow it was miscommunicated as to the dates she needed them for. My friend, thinking it was her mistake, went in to appologize for NOT picking them up last Satuday and WAS NOT asking for a refund- instead all she wanted to do was order 5 MORE pizzas and PAY for them as well. The owner insisted that she did pick them up- or her ""crooked friends picked them up and told her he ""doesn't do business with DIRTY people"" (she's hardly a dirty person- not sure what he meant by that comment) and he wouldn't sell them to her. Appaulled, she left the store confused wondering what she did wrong. She has been a regular of this establishment for years. What horrible customer service! She was not asking for anything- only paying him double for the exact same order because she felt it was her mistake & acknowledged that. Never again will I give them another dime. That really sucks cause they have great food- but you can't treat people like that- there's another pizza place on every corner. Good luck George. (by the way- Johnny C's is much better) more
