Last week an old friend was back in town and wanted to get together with me for dinner. He had gone to Fordham Univ. so he suggested that we meet at Mario's on Arthur Avenue. I am so glad he did!! What a great meal we had together. I knew it was going to be good when we started off with the fried calamari appetizer.....tasty, tender...cooked to perfection. Then I had the Veal a la Pizzaiola and he had the Chicken a la Cacciatore. I don't order veal very often but this was really special...everything prepared just right. We finished off our meal with a cappacino and tiramisu. It was one of the best Italian meals I have ever had. The wait staff was prompt with our order and very gracious to us throughout our meal.
