Shopping for my wife's engagement ring, I went to the Center City stores, local jewelers, and finally, somewhat reluctantly (I thought the purple sign looked cheap), I visited B & E. After being in at least 10 different stores, and expecting the usual ""sales pitch/talk"", much to my amazement/delight, the person behind the counter didn't seem to care if I bought anything from him; he proceeded to make sure I knew everything there was to know about buying a diamond ring. He was genuinely more interested in my knowledge of diamonds than making a sale. I knew right then that I'd be purchasing the ring from B & E. That was in 2005. Since then, I've considered other stores for future purchases, but I always end up buying from B & E. I've had nothing but great experiences with them and they're a business you can trust (and I'm extremely skeptical). I've dealt with them enough to be completely confident that the negative reviews here are your typical jerk customers that will never be happy regardless of what's done for them. I always do extensive research before making significant purchases - I don't want buyer's remorse. It's so nice to have a store where I can always feel comfortable knowing I'm getting quality products at a great price AND knowing I'm getting what I pay for. Now, if I'm shopping for jewelry, I go straight to B & E; I won't even consider going anywhere else. I've done my due diligence on multiple occasions and always end up buying from B & E. Their knowledge, courtesy, and, above all, integrity, have won my repeat business. If anything changes, I'll update this ; )
