The store really has high and low points. It's a family owned place, and I always try to deal with family-owned stores if possible. I was looking to buy a new zero-turn mower. A gentleman approached me and we discussed my needs. It was great - and I was pretty much sold on their store mostly because I felt really comfortable with the guy. I have a steep hill and wanted to see how zero turns generally handle hills. The gentlemen brought me upstairs to ask someone about how they handle hills. It turned out the guy I was talking with was the owner, and he was introducing me to his son who runs the small engine area. Two things became clear very quickly 1)the son was really knowledgeable about small engines and related stuff 2) he would be awful to deal with because he seemed to treat everyone as a complete nuisance. I left with a pocket full of cash and drove to the Home Depot and bought a really nice zero-turn. I've come back a few times for some other stuff and was always put off by the people working upstairs in the parts department. They definitely know their stuff, but as far as the customer service in the small engine repair, prepare for some abuse.
