Mike knows a hell of a lot about cars and knows my car in particular because he keeps all the service records and knows when things are due. As soon as I pull up he can tell me that my cabin filter is probably dirty because it is due for a change. I tell him he's welcome to go look and while i'm standing there he reaches behind the glovebox to place that I didn't know existed and pulls out the filter which was in in fact visibly dirty and nasty. I asked him if he could take care of that and he said "yea of course - I keep all sorts of filter's in stock" Now I have clean air to breathe as I go down the road and I love having a mechanic that I actually trust.
