What a nice surprise! Last nite after the movies, we went to Karam. We are from Phoenix and are spending some time here in Portland. Someone suggested Karam, and we were delighted with their recommendation. It's not fancy. That's not important to us. We are far more impressed with the quality of the food than the ambience. Starting with the appetizers..taboule, mezza, including falafel, hummus, stuffed grape leaves and more, and onto the mezza meats or the lamb kebabs, we were all 4 very pleased with everything. We have decided to return next week with another group of friends. We did not have dessert, but am sure it would be good also. Very moderately, well priced. I highly recommend Karam.
