I’ve seen many commercials saying that Dunkin Donuts has the best coffee and donuts around, so I just had to see for myself. As my boyfriend, Mike, and I walked into the Dunkin Donuts on Stapley and Baseline, we were greeted very friendly with big smiles. The customer service was spectacular! Since we had never been to a Dunkin Donuts before, we were staring at the large menu for quite some time trying to figure out what to order. The very friendly girl behind the counter recommended a few choices when she found out it was our first time there. After contemplating her suggestions for a few more moments I decided what kind of donut and coffee I would try. For my drink choice I ordered a hot caramel coffee. The coffee was brewed at 200 degrees and was sweltering hot, which was great on a chilly morning. I found out that they brew their coffee quite frequently, every eighteen minutes actually, therefore Dunkin Donuts has the freshest coffee around. So, as I prepared for my first sip I hoped the taste would be as good as it sounded. I am not usually a heavy coffee drinker. If I drink it, it is most often because I need to stay up late doing homework and need the caffeine boost even though I do not really enjoy the taste of it. This coffee, on the other hand, was completely different! The first sip I took tasted rich and full of flavor. It had just the right amount of caramel flavoring so that it was way better than Starbucks’ overly strong coffee, while at the same time not being too sugary or sweet. It was hard to keep myself from taking huge gulps of this wonderful tasting drink, but I had to remind myself it was very hot. So, I enjoyed the taste slowly but it was just as tasteful. I had to try one of their strawberry donuts next. That is my favorite flavor and I have tried many different kinds, so I had extremely high standards as I prepared to take a bite. I also had very high expectations since I have heard such great things about the donuts there. I enjoyed looking at it because this donut looked so appetizing, but I couldn’t just stare anymore I had to try it. As I bit in the warm frosting didn’t crumble, it melted and tasted spectacular. After getting through that layer I found myself biting into the yeast ring. What I found there amazed me because it was soft, chewy, and even sweet. Donuts at other stores usually are small and not filling with a crust of frosting and unappetizing dough. However, this donut’s frosting melted in my mouth, the dough was sweet and soft, and it was filling to eat the whole thing. I ate the donut extremely fast because it was so flavorful and sweet. In conclusion, the coffee and donut I enjoyed at Dunkin Donuts were two of the best things that I have tasted, and together they made for an amazing meal!
