James was incredibly rude and condescending, and added fees to the service to make up for the coupon on this site. When asked why the vehicle failed the check, he stated, “I can tell you but you wont understand.” Being new to California, I was unaware that the “check engine light” affects the smog check. James saw the light when he drove the car to the back room (which is hidden, with all blinds closed and keeping the consumer from knowing what is happening there) and did not have the courtesy to advise me of this. When I called the business the next day, James claimed he is the manager, and asked what the problem was but would not allow me to fully answer. He kept interrupting me and shouting, even stating, “the floor is mine now!” He then stated “I have other customers waiting, I’m not gonna deal with you,” and hung up. So he speaks to customers over the phone this way when he has others waiting? Do NOT waste your money, Mastertech is about 10 minutes away, and provides excellent customer service! No additional bogus fees, and they ask about the “check engine light” ahead of time! The Better Business Bureau has the business rating as ""F"" for Smog This due to no response on THREE different complaints! Though, there are more than three on the website.
