A few years back i went to Sambuca with a friend and the ambiance, service and food was fabulous!!
A few weeks ago, was a total disappointment and a let down for what I so highly esteem for this Jazz restaurant. The tables were so dimly lit that the waiter who first approached, later to find to was a trainer, unprofessionally pointed his flash light to our faces and asked ""Ready to order yet, looked at the menu?"" What!! How about.. Welcome to Sambuca my name is blah blah blah, i'm a trainer and the traineee....
So what is the trainee being groomed for???
We should have walked out but decided to stay based on previous experience, but BIG MISTAKE. The wine menu must have diminished over the course of the years because there was only one page for wine by the glass the rest was by the bottle. And they were to charge us for every sample we asked for. Now which upscale restaurant does that!! The crab stuffed salmon i ordered was not crab stuffed but had a crab tasting sauce, only to get a fish taste in my mouth after we left.. Not to mention that our orders were more that $25 and the damn restaurant cannot afford fresh fish.. POOR PERFORMANCE!!!!! Crappy food and service!! The only thing i could enjoy was the live band, which next time I can do that elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!!
I came to celebrate my belated birthday and got very disappointed. You ruined what was supposed to be a memorable night. So No Thanks I will not be coming back
