We hired them in 2007 to replace the wooden staircase and railing in our office building. Last fall, we had a bit of a scare when one side of a stair gave out , and and a patient of ours fell half way through. By this summer (2010), 6 of the stairs had broken welds where they were joined. Last week, we had the entire staircase removed and hauled away by another company, and the workers laughed and joked the whole time about the welds and the work that had been done. Apparently, the joints were oxidized before being welded and the finishing work was done. It was explained to me that it takes a very short amount of time to properly train somebody to weld, and this was more than an oversight, it was apathy. \r

When our Director contacted the owner, he was barked at like a junkyard dog, and given a lawyers number. No apologies, or any attempt at all to investigate the staircase or situation at all. \r

The best thing I can say about Artisan Metals is, well, they were very very polite before we paid them. \r
