Even if A Bride's Dream is close and convenient, save your time and go some place professional! The first time I tried going in the shop owner and an employee looked at me like ""what are you doing here?"" I then asked if they were open, and they replied ""yes, but we really prefer to take appointments."" That would have been really nice to know when I had called them an hour before asking if they were open and then drove all the way there.
They ended up having an appointment arriving in 15 minutes and asked me to leave. So unprofessional. Maybe this sort of thing would happen in NYC in a beauitful, upscale boutique- but this place?! After finding my dress elsewhere, I was trying to find a veil and thought that maybe I could stop in and get one since I was on that side of town anyway. I called this time due to my bad experience showing up and the owner told me that today was too busy and that there is no way I'm bringing my dress (purchased at another store) into her store.
The owner should be ashamed at how she treated me and others that I have talked to. I love to see small businesses thrive, but if I see a ""for rent"" sign on her door next week, I will definitely understand why. Word of mouth supports small business, and be assured that I will let every friend, non-friend, and review know just how awful my experience was.
