Diamonds Chicago is definitely a winner. I did a lot of research leading up to our engagement ring purchase, in retail stores, specialty jewelry stores, and online. Everything I saw in stores was sub-par and expensive, and shop workers rarely sounded like they knew what they were talking about. At Diamonds Chicago, my consultant was Fahmina, who was extremely kind and knowledgeable. She worked with us and with our budget to create something amazing. She was careful to point out the pluses and minuses of every diamond, and didn't try to hide anything about the quality.
My only suggestions would be to make sure you schedule on a day you have nothing else to do. I squeezed it in before I was scheduled to work, and the consultant was a bit late, so I was a bit worried about making it to work. Plus, they know so much, and want to make sure you know it all, too, before you make your purchase, so appointments can take quite some time. We were able to take my ring home that day, which was wonderful as well.
I'm thrilled with my ring, and our experience with Fahmina, and we'll definitely be going back for our wedding bands.
