I dined several times at Cucina Toscana and it has always been a terrific experience. I am Italian-born myself, so I know how food should be cooked and served, and Cucina Toscana offers greatly prepared dishes that are hard to find even in ""trattorie"" in Italy.
Cucina Toscana is at its best in main dishes (try the ossobuco!), but they also do an excellent job with their home-made pasta. If you happen to be there I strongly recommend the Ravioli with asparagus.
The only con is that there might be some waiting time before seating (~15 mins), especially during weekend, but the food is definitely worth the waiting time!
In one sentence, no other Italian in SLC can even be comparable to the fine dining at Cucina Toscana.
