Purchased a 10.00 gift certificate with a debit card, deducted 10.00 from my checkbook. Got my checking acct. statement, it showed a charge for 11.00. Called the restaurant and they said we charge a 1.00 fee for using a debit and or credit card when buying a gift certificate, I asked why don't they show the 1.00 service charge on the receipt, they had no answer. Finally got the checkbook to balance, took an extra 20 minutes I didn't want to spend to balance.
