I work with a rescue....we care a lot bout animals - ALL animals, regardless of breed or where they come from. My girlfriend recently adopted a Pitt Bull Terrier from ACCT in Philadelphia, and was referred to this ""Vet"" by a fellow rescue volunteer.
When she took her dog there, the vet refused to go near her dog because it is a Pitt Bull, and...AND because it's from Philly...in his words, especially from Philly. He asked my girlfriend he SHE trusted the dog, because he did not. He never touched the dog. He stood on the opposite side of the examination table, had my friend sit on a bench and never once checked over the dog - listened to her heart, took her temperature...NOTHING. She was shocked into silence..dumbfounded that she was at a Vets office that she was referred to, and this man wouldn't even care for her pet. Imagine going to a Doctors office and having them tell you that they don't treat men/women/children....especially from ""downingtown"" - that's discrimination if I ever heard it! I'm appalled this person is in this profession. If you want an AWESOME vet local to the area, you contact me...I'll be MORE THAN HAPPY to refer you to someone who will care about the well being of your animal. This man - his practice....are just a disgrace to Veterinarians everywhere.
