It started off well - nice place, gourmet coffee, nice car, fair price.......all was well and I look at the paperwork: $995 FOR PREP FEE??? They did not mention that. A really sleazy thing to do.
But the price was still good and we were there - so we bought the car! I should have known better. When I go to pick it up, it was not prepped!
They could not locate the proper color paint and had to order it.
They never call me and a month later they realize they never ordered it. They tell me to get it and I will be reimbursed. I order it online and get it quickly - something they could have done. But they never reimburse me the $18 for the paint and $13 for an antenna that was missing. I sent in the receipts to Victor Niosi, the manager, he tells me the check is in the mail but I never got it it. And now he no longer returns my phone calls.
Fortunately it was not a lot of money, but imagine if it was real money - I would have a big fight on my hands.
If they are going to treat me like junk over $31, what are they going to do if you have a big problem in your $50k Infiniti? Definitely ignore you more. I contacted the BBB and the NYC Dept of Consumer Affairs - I even told them I would. If they are not going to resolve a nominal problem to keep a customer happy, they will probably not help if a big one comes along.
My money is good anywhere. I am sure you can find a better dealer who wants your business!
