Who knew that there could be such a quaint restaurant in a cozy neighborhood that looks country-like in the middle of the city - DC? It was a beautiful fall day and lunch at La Ferme was wonderful. I love that there is plenty of parking. The seasonal pumpkin soup was very tasty. I had a salmon nicoise for lunch - perfect with a big chunk of salmon. I was so full, I planned to skip desert...until the ladies at the next table were mouthing (very loudly) "POACHED PEAR...POACHED PEAR." So of course I had to try and I was glad. Wonderful... is all I can say about the pear and about the lunch. Owner stopped by the table was just too charming. The waiter could have been a bit more friendly, but it was good enough. Definitely go and try.
