I have been a client for almost a year now and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. I get my hair cut and colored by Danita and she is phenomenal. I am very shy and quiet by nature but she is so friendly that I feel like I am just talking with a friend.
Salon- The salon itself is quite pretty- open and airy with hardwood floors.. You can tell this is an upscale salon but it doesn't have that upscale snobby feel. The minute you enter you are offered a drink and made to feel at home. This is great for people like me who feel intimidated by salons and spas. The movies on the tv are a nice touch for those times you are getting your hair colored or just don't feel like chatting. The magazine selection is top notch. I have found them to be very accommodating when it comes to making an appointment- they opened early one time for me which was just AWESOME and a great example of customer service.
Cut and color- Danita really listens to what you have to say and actually takes your face shape and styling limitations into consideration when discussing a style with you. My hair is very thick and wavy and can be very hard to style if it isn't cut just so but she always makes my hair look fantastic and the cut lasts forever! I have a pretty busy life so I don't want to spend a lot of time on my hair and she takes that knowledge into account when she cuts my hair. The last time she cut my hair (graduated bob that just looked awesome) I received a ton of compliments. What an ego boost! I also have a very sensitive scalp and when I would get my hair colored at other salons my scalp would be very irritated, almost burned. The color is very rich and quite natural, which means a lot for a graying 35 year old woman.
This studio is a bit pricy but I really feel you get what you pay for here. You don't have to worry about the cut or color looking raggedy after 6 weeks which is a plus in these economic times. Give this place a shot, you will be glad you did.
