Kirby's Beer Store is a legend in Wichita. The history of this small and unique bar is evident in it's decor. Opened in the early 70's, little pieces of history; posters, fliers, stickers, and news articles adorn the walls. Kirby's has been a major venue for many local bands, as well as touring bands from coast to coast. A decent and expanding selection of beers with daily specials. But,it's the atmosphere and the people that really sells this place to me. Located across the street from Wichita State University, Kirby's clientele is one of the most diverse in Wichita. From Jazz, to country, reggae, rock, and bluegrass there is always something for everyone. It's not just a bar. Its your bar. Now lets have a drink!
