Dr. Craig T. Fenwick DVM 1/20/2010

This past summer Dr. Fenwick did ACL surgery on my 3 yr. old pit bull . A few weeks later I brought him back to see Dr. Fenwick because he was dragging his foot. Dr. Fenwick said it's nothing and to be patient. Another several weeks later I brought my dog back again because his foot was getting worse not better, and he now had a sore from the foot dragging. Dr. Fenwick now said "" Oh that is unrelated to the surgery and would have happened anyway , and it's only a matter of time before it happens to his other leg"" Well I'm no Docter ...but that did not make sense to me. Especially when he didn't try to find the cause , no x-ray nothing. I took Romeo to another Vet who just by looking at him walk said the suture might be rubbing the nerve, than he also took an x-ray which showed the suture was not attached and the clip was on the nerve. The Docter asked how long this has been because the damage to the nerve would be permanent. Maybe the reason why Dr. Fenwick didn't look for the cause of Romeo's lameness is because he already knew it. Now Romeo has to pay because of Dr. Fenwick. This was done at Calling All Creatures in Toms River N.J. which Dr. Fenwick is no longer there.\r \r Cons: Did his ego blind his prognosis? more
