Before there was Katsu-Ya Hollywood, there was Katsu-Ya Studio City. This original outpost for the, now trendy, chain is nothing like the other Phillipe Stark locations. It's not about the scene. It's about the food. But don't let the fact that it's ""strip mall sushi"" deter you. This place is often packed, and all those people can't be wrong. Getting a table can be just as difficult as it is at the Hollywood location. Putting in the time is worth it though because the sushi will be some of the best you've ever tasted.
