Awesome museum! 1/28/2010

The Desert Caballeros Western Museum (read [in basic English] ""Cowboys of the Desert Museum""]) is an AWESOME trip into the history of the desert Southwest. Wickenburg (where the museum is located) is the lucky combination of an INCREDIBLY successful gold mine (the Vulture Mine, discovered by Henry Wickenburg) and a reliable source of water (the Hassayampa River). When you put the two together, you have the ideal residence of many westward-ho migrants. Abracadabra, you have Wickenburg, Arizona. This museum details both the development of Wickenburg (a story in-and-of itself), as well as the factors which created the American southwest as we understand it today. I am a citizen of Wickenburg, therefore I understand if you would accuse me of being biased in this review. However, I feel that this is a place worth visiting. Isn't this Citysearch's purpose? I hope so. I'll see you there. Pros: A great deal of Western history more
