My first grandchild! My first baby shower! Jennifer brainstormed with me. Cat in the Hat theme! I chose the colors turquoise, red and white. I wrote the verses for the invitations Jennifer designed the invitations with the colors turquoise and red and a tubular red and white hat. She came up with the idea of having turquoise organza overlays for the tables! I wanted cookies with the Red and White tubular hats Jennifer has connections with a gal who makes cookies for special occasions. They were made exactly as I wanted them.They were round with a turquoise background with a red and white tubular hat in the middle. On the back they had my daughter's name, baby shower and the date written.. They were beautiful ,delicious and wrapped in clear cellophane with red and turquoise curling ribbons.They were placed around the rim of each hat on the table. One cookie for each guest.They looked so delicate!!\r
Jennifer designed the thank you notes, labels for water bottles as well as the invitations. The theme of the three colors and the tubular hat was everywhere. So cohesive and continuous!!\r
I then went on to order BIG Cat in the Hat mylar balloons 45 inches. There were 10 of them. I added smaller ones for the 8 tables along with red, white and turquoise balloons on the tables alongside of the tubular hats and scattered them around the room floating from the ceiling. \r
I only had Jennifer to go by as my ""reality check"" I made ""Baby Bingo"" cards in turquoise and drew the red and white tubular hats on each one with my daughter's name and Baby bingo on the front. On the back was the actual bingo game. \r
It all came together beautifully!!!Ah yes, Jennifer also said my idea of a tubular red and white hat for the cake would go great. Written on the rim of the hat was my daughter's name and congratulations . Everyone was amazed at the beauty and tastiness of the cake!\r
Jennifer's expertise was so direly needed. I still am in awe about the turquoise organza overlays that she suggested. I had my doubts but boy did they look beautiful!!\r
Jennifer is a diamond!On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best , she rates an 11 ! Can I say anything better than that? And to top it all off, the weather was simply gorgeous! This was 1/16/10 in Manalapan NJ at the Battleground Country Club We had 60 guests! \r
Everyone said that it was the most beautiful, fun and well corrdinated baby shower they had ever been to. A tip of the Cat in the Hat's Hat to Jennifer for this accomplishment!!\r
