won't even back a watch battery 1/26/2010

I brought in my seiko pilots chrono for routine battery replacement, the wacth tech chaned the battery and gave it back to me, everything appeared to be fine. the watch is made to be waterproof ,i didn't get water near it for two months, i was washing my dog in the backyard when i noticed the crystal had water in it . few days days later the watch was fryed. i brought the watch in to tower of jewels ,the salesman took the watch to the same watch tech that changed the battery in the first place. the salesman came back out after 2 minutes and said the watch had a broken rubber seal, that tower was not resposible, and that a seiko is a cheap 80 dollar watch to begin with (the watch cost $895.00 when my girlfriend gave it to me as a gift 16 years ago) , \r he said so there was no use spending $500 to fix ..he then went on in an attempt to sell me one of their used rolex watches for 5 grand.\r in the past i've had the battery replaced by another jewelery store back home in l.a.. i wish i still had my timepiece instead of the bad experience that the sales team and customer service of tower of jewels gave me . if i had just to another store i'd still have my watch, it dos not take a rocket scientist to replace a rubber seal before closing the back. out of sixteen years i've had the battery changed six times, nothing ever went wrong. and then i walked into the tower and got screwed.\r i hope by posting this advisory other feel the sting. to the jackass salesman 'I LIKED MY CHEAP 80 DOLLAR SEIKO!!!"" Pros: big selection Cons: bad workmanship more
