Lloyd: Excuse me, Flo?! What's the Soup d'Hier?
Waitress: It's the soup of yesterday.
Lloyd: Oh, that sounds gross. I won't have that...
That's right, even Lloyd and Harry were wise not to order yesterday's soup. Heck, Slocum House'd probably be better off having them write the menu, too. ""Soup of Yesterday""? Seriously?! I couldn't believe my eyes after reading the menu! I imagine if you told a homeless person at a soup kitchen you were serving yesterday's soup, you might very well get it spat back in your face! I suppose if they're garnishing with ""fine"" herbs - fines herbs is correct - then it might make up for quality. They are, after all, ""fine herbs,"" right?! Who knows? Maybe it's an indication of the herbs' freshness (i.e. less than 24 hours old).
I also saw ""Artic"" Char on the Valentine's menu. Problem is, I can't seem to find the ""Artic"" on my globe! Maybe it's the part of the globe where they make ""parmesan reggiano.""
So there you have it, ladies and gents... it's safe to say that there's direct correlation between a bad menu and an overall bad experience.
Pros: The soup of the day?
Cons: Bread, Food, Parking
