I hired ABS to do some work in my bathroom. They underbid the two other contractors that I had look at the job I wanted done. They were easy to work with and did good work. The two who actually perform the work, Al and Eric are very pleasant and will answer any questions that you may have, so don't hesitate to ask. My only issue, and it has nothing to do with the work, is that the owners Bob and Ed are the actual contact people for the company. I think that they lack a little in the area of relaying information to Al and Eric. After my bathroom was finished, I contacted ABS, talked to Bob, and needed to have some of their work repaired, nothing serious. It took Bob over two weeks to return two of my phone calls. We scheduled a day for them to come back, for the next month, and they never showed. I called Bob and he stated that he thought that we had agreed on the following week. The following week came, and after a slew of phone calls to Bob, Al from ABS finally arrived four hours after they said that they were going to come. In conversation with Al, he asked me when I had called ABS requesting them to come back. I informed him that my initial conversation with Bob had happended over a six weeks ago. He informed me that he was only told about it fifteen minutes prior to his arrival. I understand that people make mistakes, heck, we're only human, but admit to your mistakes. I would definately hire ABS again without hesitation, but I would ask to only deal with Al, who was very professional in every aspect of his workmanship and the way he went about business. SInce writing this review, I have learned that Ed and his son Al have left ABS and started their own company (Sager and Son). That would probably explain the lack of communication.
Pros: workmanship, price
Cons: scheduling
